Why do I need to take a vitamin? I eat healthy. It doesn't matter how "healthy" you eat, the fact is that the soils in which we grow our foods are depleted of the nutrients that our bodies need. It comes down to the fact that there is simply less nutrition in our foods than there used to be, and so in order to get the right levels, or actually I should say optimal levels, since the recommended daily allowances (RDA) are a joke, you need to take a supplement. Here's the numbers that I heard from someone who came into my store, so I'm not really sure on the source, but anyways, you would have to eat 10,000 calories of good food to get the right levels of nutrients; I like food, but that's a lot of food. Again I don't have a source for that figure, but it sounds about right to me. |
